This Memorial Square was made in loving memory of Father Joseph Zinagaro, submitted on behalf of Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Philadelphia. Father Joe died on May 20, 2020, the 42nd anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, from complications of Covid. This quilt square, made by Deborah from her own scraps, represents many of the interests of Father Joe. The cross is a tribute to his 42 years serving as a Catholic priest. The red and white represents the Polish flag and his love of his Polish heritage. The moose fabric represents his love of animals and his many pets over the years. The Phillies fabric represents his love of Philadelphia and its sports teams. Father Joe is deeply missed by the parishioners of Holy Name and St. John Cantius church.
