This Memorial Square comes to us from Eileen in Pennsylvania in memory of Helen Kott who passed away on December 5th from COVID-19. Eileen writes: Our dear 91-year-old Mom was the mother to my brother and I and a loving Babci (Polish for grandmother) and great-grandmother. She lived in a wonderful nursing home. The staff loved her and she was happy there. Sadly, COVID-19 crept in and, on the night before Thanksgiving, we were notified that Mom tested positive. She did well for 11 days but lost her battle to COVID-19 on December 5th. Our hearts are broken and we miss her terribly. She was an awesome Mom and Babci. She was loving, fun, full of mischief, loved to sing, loved to cook and bake, loved to socialize, and loved her family so much. Her spirit lives on in each of us and we will honor her by living a loving life to the fullest. We love you, Mom! We will remember and honor Helen on the Covid Memorial Quilt.
