This Memorial Square comes from Carol in California. It is in memory of the mother of a long time friend, Bruce, and his wife, Peggy, who is a close friend and my former roommate. They live in Maryland. Peggy is a journalist who runs a non profit journalism foundation and Bruce is a former local official who runs a non profit organization. The subject of the Square, Peggy Webster, died of COVID-19 while in Assisted Living. Peggy lived in Potomac, Maryland, her whole life, she loved clouds, birds and flowers. As in California, Assisted Living Facilities were not tested for COVID and she died very suddenly after developing a cough. This Square is my first embroidery project and working on this for Peggy has lifted my spirits.
