This Memorial Square was sent to us in loving memory of Sandra May Langdale-Coroon from her daughter. She writes: Our mum, Sandy, was a film industry veteran who worked for over 45 years as a production accountant on hundreds of movies. She loved to recount happy memories of her travels to exotic locations and of the talented artists with whom she worked. Mum’s generosity, kindness and compassion touched the lives of so many friends, family, colleagues and neighbours. She was always ready for a friendly chat over a cup of tea with her bright smile and an attentive ear. Mum inherited her dad’s hand with a hacksaw, a drill and a screwdriver. She was an expert with plants, and she took great joy in tending to her beautiful garden. Mum had been married for almost 40 years when she tragically lost our dad, the love of her life, to brain cancer. She navigated through her life without him and was a kind, caring, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunty, and godmother. Mum taught us that honesty, hard work, and determination pay off, and we are all so thankful to her for setting an example for us to live by. The love that she made us feel is so ingrained in our hearts that it will live on forever. We are heartbroken that she was forced to battle COVID-19 alone. We know that she put up one heck of a fight. She was truly an angel in the shape of our mum, and she will be forever missed.
