This Memorial Square was made in loving memory of Terry Muchovic and submitted on behalf of the Neighborhood Gardens Trust in Philadelphia. Terry died on June 3, 2020 from complications of COVID-19. Terry loved gardening and as the director of the Neighborhood Gardens Association for many years, she left a legacy of thriving community gardens across the city. Deborah, who sent the Memorial Square, tells us she was lucky to work with Terry to establish community gardens in many low-income neighborhoods. Terry was a thoughtful and compassionate colleague, who always had a funny remark. The quilt square, made by Deborah from her own scraps, reflects Terry’s love of gardens.
