IN MEMORY OF BARBARA JONES RYDEN

This Memorial Square comes to us from Denise in New Jersey in memory of her mother, Barbara Ryden, who passed away from COVID-19 on April 5th, 2020, two days before her 81st birthday. Denise writes: She was sick for 11 days, declining rapidly, always a step ahead of any treatment they gave her. As reality started to set in, as they didn’t believe it was COVID-19 in the beginning, one thought that stuck with me was that I did not want her to become a statistic. Thank you so much for granting that wish for us with the Covid Memorial Quilt. Your quilt makes this all so much more personal for us and the world, and that they are not just a number. Mom left a legacy behind. She was a very strong woman who was the backbone that held our family together. We all miss her dearly. She leaves 7 children, 2 stepdaughters, 29 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
